MTD 101 - Industrial Safety & Report Writing
"This course is offered as an introduction to the Mechanical Trades programs. All new Trades and Industry students are required to take this course prior to working in the live work labs. Included in this course are hand and power tools, both welding and mechanical; their identification and proper use and safety. Drill bit sharpening, tube flaring, use of hacksaws, chisels, punches, taps and dies, easy-outs, and other related tools are covered. Red Cross First Aid and CPR will be provided, hazardous communication, and ""Right to Know"" CFR 10:10.1200 is covered. Work order preparation, and industrial report writing, covers the 4 C's of warranty reports writing: complaint, cause, correction, and coverage."
